Introduction to Modern Calligraphy

You will learn how to create beautiful, contemporary lettering using traditional calligraphy techniques. In this workshop, participants will learn the basic of modern calligraphy and how to use a pointed pen to create fluid strokes and how to combine letters to form words.

About the event
We live in a fast-paced, digital world and sometimes its nice to take time out and take it slower.
Switch off and spend an evening or afternoon in a relaxed workshop.
Taught by Sarah from Dot the i Atelier, you will learn lots of tips and advice as she loves to share her skills at her calligraphy classes and help people discover their own calligraphy style with nib and ink.
You’ll leave feeling inspired to get creative and develop a skill that you can use for handwritten notes, cards & gift tags. It’s also perfect if you are a bride-to-be and would like to add special details to your wedding day yourself such as place-cards and menus.
No experience is necessary (and neither is neat handwriting!).
